Recognising and using authenticity as a strength
Subject:
We are all actors and audience in an information culture that is steadily establishing itself. Almost no-one can or wants to be excluded from it. Today, if necessary, almost every desired virtual reality can be simulated: through the media, through advertising, through the use of technology. The result of this is that people’s perception is limited. Even more intuition and know-how is required to discover authenticity and to develop credibility in oneself and in others. When achieved, a new door to reality is opened. This course invites participants to initiate this process for themselves and to take the first steps towards authenticity.
Target group:
Managers who want to sharpen their perceptions and interact with other managers in order to recognise credibility and to develop it in themselves and with others.
Targets:
The participants gain an insight into the mechanisms and traps of the information culture. They see what effects it has on different people. They understand why it is sometimes so difficult to differentiate simulated reality from actual reality. They recognise why these borderlines are so hazy and why the whole thing is so temptingly attractive. They study their own perceptions and how they communicate reality. They look at their own personal standards for credibility. They tackle the question of how they could promote and display authenticity in their own lives.
